From E-Consultation Guide

Overview of progress, April to June 2005
1. Better understanding of consultation and e-consultation
- Public and community sector interviews.
 - Theory-building workshop in Belfast on 17 May
 - Papers accepted for two e-government conferences (Antwerp and Copenhagen), the EU e-challenges conference (Ljubljana) and a community informatics one (Cape Town).

4. Dissemination
- Armagh workshop.
 - HEA's Dundalk workshop.
 - Development of handouts and web site to include introduction to e-consultation technologies (for taster sessions, see below).
 - Conference articles (see above).

2. What technologies and processes work best for participants?
- E-consultation technology demonstrations + focus groups (taster sessions)
- 3 at Letterkenny IT
 - At least 3 in Belfast (QUB)

 - No small-scale tests yet, as we first need to narrow down the choice of technologies, based on users' scenarios of potential use.

3. What is needed for organisational implementation of e-consultation?
- designed an evaluation of the AdviceNI e-consultations.
 - started to find people interested in taking part in a trial
- at the Armagh and Dundalk workshops
 - at the demonstration sessions
