Hans Hagedorn on making consultation better

Very interesting question. I wonder if it is actually necessary or possible to achieve a "coherent normative ideal" for e-consultation. The whole point of consultation is to bring different perspectives together. Therefore I would also judge the success of consultations from different perspectives.

In a recent proposal Zebralog develolped a study-design, where the evaluation is done with "perspective triangulation". The success of projects was described independently by the views of participants, politicians and e-democracy experts. OK, the proposal was not chosen by our sponsor, so I cannot tell you the results ;-) However I think it is good and necessary to apply parallel independent normative sets, which represent the different motivations of each group.

Best wishes Hans
