These policies where the outcome of the Equality Impact Assessment screening identified a moderate potential impact on promotion of equality and the timetable proposed to conduct the EQIAs.

*Table A : Policies Considered as Requiring an Equality Impact Assessment

In undertaking an internal screening of policies, developed, in development or to be developed, Waterways Ireland has used the data which it has available, but in light of the Body's infancy there is minimal background statistical information available.

The recommendations that emerged from completion of this Internal Screening Process for each of the policies identified a small number of Waterways Ireland's policies as having a moderate impact on social need, effect on people's lives, or effect on economic, social or human rights. The majority of its policies were deemed as potentially having a low impact on equality of opportunity.

Having looked through the e-consultation website I find the whole process needlessly complicated and not at all user friendly. I have no doubts that more comments would be made should the system be much easier navigated. A missed opportunity.

Hi Fazer6,

Would you be able to tell us any difficulties did you get to navigate on site. It will help us to improve design of website and increase user friendliness content for future consultation.
